Joy of owning a Dog

Something has just happened, that got me to thinking about the joy's of dog ownership.......

Could it of been that friendly greeting as I came back from the shop, or that cold loving nose placed gentle on my face, or the nuzzle of my ear. The sharing of my dinner, maybe I was crying and a gentle tongue caught each tear drop as it fell.
Maybe that cuddle on the sofa, that we all love and die for.....no
I went to hang up some washing, and a warm wet feeling came over me....Bruce cocked his leg up my trousers NICE squelchy shoe

Awww that was getting all warm and fuzzy, then wet

I lurve my mutt and wouldn't be without him, no matter what he chews, he makes me giggle, even when I'm at my most depressed moment.

Although I really wish he would chew his chewies and not the candle/expensive cable for the xbox/assorted childs toys and one pair of trainers.

YS - yep you had me going there for a moment but I think my entry would be when I flew home recently. After a long day (and a four hour delay) I finally emerged through the door into the arrivals hall to be greeted by our two Newfies who immediately had me on the floor with their licks and slobbery kisses, my fellow passengers thought it was hilarious, and we nearly triggered a security alert meanwhile poor OH had to wait 'till they'd calmed down before she got her kiss

That, for me, encapsulated the 'Joy of Owning a dog'
