Waxing question!

Iv never tried it but anythings gotta be better than shaving daily!

My question is- when you wax an area of unwanted hair, will it regrow finer? or the same? or thicker?

How often do you need to wax?

Thanks guys

Dont shave daily, wear trousers

I waxed a few times, mine re grew the same but I started getting ingrowing hairs so stopped. Apparently waxing can cause this.

How often you need to wax depends on how fast your hair grows, however I wouldn't wax any sooner than a week later it can make your skin very sore. It did mine anyway.

I epilate.......but some can't stand the pain.

You get used to it and far less messy and effective than home waxing.

Over a period of time for the majority of people the growth becomes finer and fairer as the follicles weaken. After the first wax the regrowth will feel softer because the new hair will grow with a pointed end rather than the blunt hair you get with shaving. I find my clients range from 4-6 weeks depending on strength of hair, hair colour and lifestyle. Ie someone with areas on show, such as gym visits, swimming etc will often want waxing more often. To start with it can take a few sessions to get the hairs growing in a cycle so they come through more in line with each other, this can mean leaving it longer between waxes to allow more to grow through.

Personally I couldn't do anything else now. It is uncomfortable but well worth it. It's also worth getting it done professionally rather than at home as you usually get a better end result.

Hope that helps.

Jo

I go to a salon to be waxed, when I lived abroad my neighbour used to "sugar" me.

The only area i will not wax is underarms.

I epilate too... Some people are put off by the pain, but once you've done it once, it doesn't hurt the next time & the hairs grow back really fine, I should know as I'm secretly a hairy beast

I have found finer and less hair regrowth - I am not sure how often I go though - but I go to a salon would never attempt myself!

It hurts for some more than others - doesn't bother me too much at all
