Fallen for this guy... fostering/rescuing?

trawling through the rescue pages and stumbled across this chap.. who on paper wouldnt be a dog i would go for, i would never choose to buy a collie from a breeder, and im quite suprised ive found this boy and cant stop looking at him..

i dont know if its because ive been thinking about fostering for a rescue, and i know some of you say on here that certain dogs stick out to you.

but look at this guy, i think he's gorgeous

how many of you have fostered or rescued and the dog has picked you rather than you picked them?

I have 5 dogs that picked me... I wanted a St. Poodle... then I got Zoe (she looked so pathetic, I knew she needed me)

Then I wanted a St. Poodle, and Scout needed a home, and I thought "deaf? shouldn't be too hard" I'd never even seen a pic of her

Then I wanted an Irish Terrier or a St. Poodle, and I fell in love with a pic of Oliver on the internet, and made a joke...

Then I wanted an Irish Terrier, and I drove 11 hours because Mouse needed a home, and her pics were to die for!

Then I didn't want another dog.... Damn you Petfinder!!! I got Boo

I've yet to pick a dog for myself... I always end up with them finding me somehow!

Don't pick him on looks....Cain's gorgeous but would you want to own him?

How does his behavioural criteria fit your current lifestyle?

Molly definitely chose us. I'd looked through literally hundreds of dogs and pups needing a new home and many of them had appealed to me. But, boy oh boy, when I saw Molly's pic she just screamed at me. She was the one, no doubts, no hesitation.

As soon as I saw Rupert I knew he was the one. Didn't know a damn thing about him and chances are if I had I wouldn't have taken him on.

im thinking about fostering to be honest, rather than offering a forever home. but the criteria sounds good, if a bit vague, the only thing it says is he mustnt be homed with children as he doesnt like them, and separated if children come to visit..
