Malinois. Seeka 2 year old Belgian Malinois

I realise there's a rescue section, but I don't seem to see many Malis in rescue so I'm putting this here for the Belgian Shepherd lovers.

Seeka

If only I wasn't full with crocked dogs...

she is gorgeous i do hope she finds her forever home soon, what i dont get is the rescue have said, the new owners must have either malinois experience (which i get) or gsd experience(which i dont get) i thought malinois were generally speaking of course supposed to me more full on than the gsd?

They are - they are much more reactive & their brains run at 100mph. GSD experience is useful for having knowledge of a strong-minded breed that needs boundaries, but collie experience as well would be far better, in view of their reactiveness, speed of thought & action and because like collies, they do not tolerate heavy-handed training.

That depends on the Malinois and the GSD.

The show/pet bred Malinois are like the show/pet bred GSD.

The work bred Malinois are like the work bred GSD!

They are not MORE full on in general at all.

I regularly train with a several people who have Malinois and GSD
