They are tricky to learn how to use properly (i.e. get a good shave) but I've never cut myself badly, only the odd nick or nipped the head off a spot. I find they give the closest and must comfortable shave. Takes 15 mins of an evening, I find it very relaxing and am smooth chinned all the next day.

The only reason people are scared of them is films, 100 years ago it was the norm and most men still had both their ears

I knew a guy once who when travelling the world was shaved by a blind man in India. His eyes were just white cataracts. The man done him perfectly not cutting him at all and he said it was the closest shave he'd ever had.

He must have had testies the size of melons to go through with it though.

Edited to add:I forgot my dogs on the hobbies list.

Dogs are prob my number 1 hobby! And being outdoors with them, I love hiking and camping although wish I was doing a lot more of these! I love a good road trip too, again not getting enough of those! Same goes with surfing, love it and got really into it when I was younger but rarely go these days.

Really into music, animals and wildlife. Reading, esp travel writing. Recently read a book named Ghost Riders: Travels with American Nomads, which was quite in depth with history, and right up my street, there is also a documentary on this which I really enjoyed. Love Native American art too
