What to use on Fox dirt.

If your dog rolls in the dreaded fox poo, and you don't want to bath him/her, use tomato ketchup.

Of course, it can look like a serious accident has happened, so warn all family members in advance but it works a treat!

I certainly does and it can be the cheapie 30p variety too (we get through a lot of it as Duncan is a fox poo magnet ! ).

We don't have foxes here yet - thank goodness. Horse, cow, wombat, possum, etc. poo is bad enough !

It has never stained any of the white on my dogs but I haven't had a completely white dog before.

Plain tomato juice works too. Fox poop has a substance in it that's designed to stick to stuff and never come off. Tomatoes have an enzyme that breaks that chemical down. It also works for skunk spray... and maybe wombat poop as well, though that's not one I've encountered.

It works a number on the topcoat though! Expect frizz! Is ketchup any better for this? I've not tried ketchup.

I believe tomato sauce will stain a white dog coat (for a while at least).
