Nervous/aggressive GSD

hi there
Basically when my dog is in the house she is more or less the perfect dog lovely temperament great with children, playful etc, however when you take her for a walk it all goes out the window she barks/growls at other dogs/people if they get too close to us. This has been going on since around the age of 10 months shes now almost three years and its a total nightmare! She is NEVER let off the lead due to the fact i cant trust her around people/dogs so even though she gets walked she still has loads of energy left over. So does anyone have any advice on how i can stop the nervousness/aggression when outside of our home?

To start with make her mind really active, play hide & seek with toys or food, teach her lots of tricks, mentally tire her. Do you go to a training class, she really needs socialising in a controlled manner, I'd personally recommend a breed specic one to start with, but at this stage if its been going on for 2 years I'd take her to a reputable behaviorist first for some one to one help.
