Another seizure for Pereg

Day 21 - three weeks since the last one. She was doing her road-kill imitation while I got her food ready and then went straight into a Grand Mal seizure. No warning, nothing. A 2½ minute seizure and another five minutes flat on her side until she was able to get up.

I had gone back to bed for a bit more sleep and she slept cuddled up to me - we got up - she went out for a pee and poo - came in to watch me getting her food ready and from laying down watching me went into a major seizure.

It was an hour before her next dose of Pb so I gave her that as soon as she came out of the seizure, also gave her 10mg oral Valium. She has eaten and is quiet for the moment but I will give her more Valium if she starts bad post-ictal again.

Please oh please let this just be a one-off and not another one within the next 24 hours as she seems to do now.

Oh Malka, poor Pereg, I hope she doesn't have another.
Gentle hugs to you both.

Hugs. It could be all the excitement of yesterday, sometimes excitement would bring one on for Joe.

Poor Pereg and you Malka, I hope for both your sakes that she settles down again and doesn't repeat another one. God bless.

Aw Malka I am so sorry to read this. It is awful to see. I hope it is not the start of more. Loki used to take them for longer than she does now but when the vet put her on Potassium Bromide, that helped.

Thinking of you and Pereg and big hugs to you both from me and Loki xx
