KC name changing etc

Im slightly confused, say i had an affix, and i brought a bitch, which already had a KC name of the breeder who bred her, but i wanted people to associate that bitch with me, so i changed the KC name to include my affix, surely then the dog cant be traced back to the original owners, and same as if i had a litter and registered the names with my affix in it, then people changed the name, it would be like i never bred them!!!

your affix will always be there ..... if you buy a dog in then your affix will be added on the end.......... as far as i know the breeders affix will always be first .

The breeders Affix will always remain, so that the dog can be traced to them, for exapmple say the dog is Liberty Freestyle, Liberty being the breeders Affix, you could change it to Liberty Freestyle At Gems (if Gems was your affix)....
