My dog trying to mate the cat.

Hi All,

As you know I have a Dalmation, I have just recently got him, Now he keeps on trying to mate with the cat, But he has never tried it with Cassie. He is an entire dog, and was due for castration, but my son fell ill, so I had to cancel it. I do want to have him done as I feel so sorry for the cat. It is quite funny to watch, But now it is getting a bit too much. He is booked in again for middle of march, Does anyone have any thing to suggest, untill then?

Thanks.

If he is under about two and half then it is all part of growing up, as Archer said, let him know it is not what you want. They do grow out of it and settle down to be delightful gentleman.

Then it is about time someone told him that it is not acceptable behaviour, he will continue to do it unless he understand that it is not accetable, would try Archers water gun if a no does not work or even, if you have one. a Master collar that would be ideal for stopping this behaviour.

Yes my daughter has a water gun I think I will try that one, You know he is always chasing her, not in a nasty way, and she still comes back, I was worried at first, I thought she might not come back, but she gives him a clout if he gets to close. I don't laugh when he does it, I just shout really loud, and he goes onto his bed.
