Dog Training in Lancashire

Hi, I notice a few members are from my neck of the woods. So i have a question. (first of many no doubt)

I was wondering if any of you could recommend any dog trainers that would be good for my 2 year old, when we first got her we had a behaviorilist <sp>? round, who was really good and gave us good value for money, but now we would like to go a bit further with her, i think it would be good for us, and for Kia (a bit of extra mental stimulus)

Any thoughts greatly appreciatted. Thnks.

Hi Hevvur,

Im in Euxton near Chorley.

I've been looking for some classes for a while but there doesnt seem to be to much going on for training, i found a place but they seemed more focused on puppies rather then young dogs.

Not far from Me, Roxy or Candie then!

How far are you willing to travel?
I've been told good things about this training class: http://www.dogobedience.co.uk/

I went to a wonderful one, run by the Rottweiler association, but they had to close the class down,as there was no one to run it. They said someone in Chorley was running one though. (Your dog doesn't have to be a Rottie to go there).

There is also a club in Gregson Lane (if you know the area). I went for one week, but haven't been since as Teagan was spayed, then I started work!

I definatley want to get on the case though, i sure Kia will benefit from it and enjoy the experiance.

Thanks

No problem!
Dogobedience is literally 5 mins away from me!

Gregson lane is near Bamber Bridge. Although it has a Chorley telephone code!

Aaaah yes - i know the Brig - i'll have to check that out.

Worden sounds good to me as Wednesdays ideal, both me and my g/f can go with Kia. And i assume its pretty near to Worden park, though Kia normally needs a little freshening up after her jaunts down Worden

Cheers

Hehehe! Worden Park....she loves it. I normally try to go there at least three or four times a week after work, I often take Kia and her bezzy mate Holly (a Lurcher/Collie? cross - very quick dog). Holly is Kia's personal trainer and keeps helps to keep Kia nice and trim.

Anyway thanks for the heads up on the training school, i'm going to get her enrolled at the dogobedience classes in about 2 weeks, i'll let you know how it goes.

Cheers
