I have pet slugs- yuck !!!!!!!!!

Every morning I come downstairs to find slug trails in the kitchen/hall; have trod on them middle of the night when Minnie wants outside for Potty; cant use slug pellets as they are poisonous for dogs.I HATE them....any ideas what I can put down to get rid - someing my dog cant get into ????

put a line of salt around the area they are coming in? Dont know whether Minnie will lick it up though

You could put them all in ajar and save them for my grandaughter Kiah(3) - she loves slugs and snails. I think the poem must be wrong, slugs and snails and puppy dogs tails, I thought it was supposed to be little boys!

On a different note, you could put some salt down.

Oh I hate slugs too - they go in the shed and eat the guinea pigs food I found a small one on the carpet in the living room last night which I think had dropped off Benji. I have heard something about putting some beer in a tub or something and the beer attracts them and then they drink it get drunk and are too drunk to get out so they die (what a lovely way to die though )

If I find one alive I put salt on it and watch it curl up and die...............I just find them so revolting.. they must be having a helluva party in my kitchen at night as the trails go on for miles...

Do they get under your door or something - my mum used to get them in her kitchen too and they went under the washer. You could do with a pet hedgehog
