My first rescue, Rhuna, an ex gundog whose owner was dying and had to give up all his dogs, she was given six weeks to live but with a bit of TLC hung in to have a retirement of seven months, love this girl and have happy memories of her

Chloe, my second rescue, mad as a stick and lovingly referred to as the colliewobble, had obviously had a less than ideal life previously and her temperament often bubbled and boiled over for no apparent reason, she had her moments and had a good 18 month retirement after she'd been handed in by her owners to be pts

With the numpty girls

My current black dog, not a rescue this time, and named in honour of the original Rhuna, my mad flatcoat girl, love her to bits

And three that aren't going to be mine for much longer, Henderson

Lola

And Aria

This is Timmi... for all you black dog lovers, he's looking for a home

Timmi's been in foster with me for almost three months and nobody wants him

He's a whippet x patterdale we think and a fantastic little dog but people don't like his feisty nature (not aggressive, just terrier-like! and fantastic with other dogs, he just rolls over!)

And he can run!!

Such lovely dogs We used to have the same problem with the black kittens when I fostered for CP Such a stigma attached to them, lucky/unlucky! Nothing beats a nice shiny black coat that looks as if someone has taken the pledge to them

I love the look of black dogs! One day I hope to have one myself.
The bonus for me would be that I usually wear black clothes, it'd be fantastic if the dog hairs were camouflaged!

My good friends handsome lad who I almost ended up with a littermate of - and they have another of his siblings who is even darker

I've not heard of this with Black dogs tbh!

Can Zeus count!?!

There's certainly no lack of personality in my (mostly) black dog!!

I think he's boootiful!

He's an absolute softy!

He's far more calm than Zeph, who hasn't had to go through rescue like Zeus!

How odd! I have four animals, two dogs and two cats. All are black and white, and all are more black than white.

I think they are all beautiful.

Why would anyone NOT want a black dog?
