Bent tail???

I went out with my dog yesterday for a good couple of hours, he was swimming, retrieving and having a great time, anyway when i got home i noticed his tail looked odd, he was holding it in a strange bent kind of way? although its ok sometimes, what could it be?

As far as i know he didnt sustain any injury to it while we were out, can swimming do something to cause this?

Have a look at this. I came across it the other day. I may be wrong though, might be worth giving the vets a call just to explain & see what they say:

(go to general, then scroll down to 'beagle tail')

Dougal had something similar once, he recovered on his own after a week or so. It looked really weird though, and I, for the life of me, can't work out how he got it. He's not a swimmer...swims like a brick does Dougal.

Fingers crossed your fella recovers quickly.
