Abi Staffy
Abi is a ten-month-old, female Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She was brought to The Mayhew accused of snapping at the children in her previous home. Since she has been at The Mayhew and in a foster home, however, we have not seen any signs of aggression and we would be happy to home her with teenage children. She is well-behaved and very responsive to commands, is good when off of her lead, is ninety percent toilet-trained, and can be left alone for up to three hours without any problems. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to play chase with them, though she prefers older, larger dogs.
Abi is a happy, playful and loving dog, who loves people, belly rubs, and her toys. She is very well-behaved and eager to please for her age, though she still puppy mouths a little and hates being ignored. She also hates being told off. She will need at least one hour of off-lead exercise every day and will need to go to training classes. She will want to sleep on the sofa or on her owner's bed. A lovely girl! Her new guardians will be taking on a fourteen-year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.
