Ronnie - 2 year old male Jack Russell Terrier

Ronnie, Jack Russell Terrier, DOB 09 - Gatwick, Surrey

Homing Requirements: Ronnie needs a family who are focused on Ronnie and his needs. He so loves to please so training focus would thrill him. Ronnie’s family must be able to support him as he learns to walk out in public. Ronnie needs a secure garden. Ronnie could live with a dog fluent dog. Not for live in children but older terrier experienced children over supervised visiting children.

His Story: Ronnie was owned by a couple, rarely exercised outside and the only socialisation was with their daughter's dog. His garden was for chickens and he only had a narrow walkway available to him. A trainer was called in as Ronnie had begun to challenge his owner. The trainer got him accepting of the chickens, introduced him to dogs in a controlled way outside and his own dogs initially. The family decided they had the wrong breed so handed him over and paid kennelling whilst a rescue place was found. We agreed to take Ronnie. He is neutered and vax'd.

Advert: Ronnie is so delightful. He needs to learn about life. Ronnie thrives on praise and task. He needs feedback but never confrontation. He is learning what is acceptable, what pleases you and how he can be successful and meet the world that has passed him by from behind the sitting room window. Ronnie was fostered within a pack of 10 terriers and then other 6 terrier including 2 Staffies. He loves to play but is still learning to share laps and toys. He is comical telling the other dogs off but there is nothing behind it. Kennelled in the Gatwick, Surrey area.

Ronnie is a tri coloured small Jack. He is as bright as a button and loves toys. He has enthusiasm and adventure. He is fragile inside through lack of opportunity and exposure. He is learning to meet dogs, life and being introduced to a multitude of experiences. Ronnie is extremely loving and amenable. Welcomes any intervention with a sense of adventure. What a star!

“Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".

Ronnie & Bronte went off for their walk just as I was leaving, but I managed to get some pics of him with Chris before I left...

Ronnie has beautiful markings...

Ronnie is still waiting for his forever home to spot him - could it be you?!

We are currently fostering this gorgeous boy. Here are some pics of him playing with my Springer:

He likes to be at the centre of the action so to start I placed his open crate right next to where I was making the dinner:

Eventually he was happy for me to put it a bit further away. As I type this he is fast asleep in his open crate in the kitchen with the other boys:

He is such a sweetie. He was a bit scared of my dogs to start with, but after some careful introductions out on a walk he is fine...as you can see.
