I hope all goes well with the recovery, the first six weeks are the hardest, trying to keep them resting all the time and I found the crate invaluable. I also invested in a ramp which was worth its weight in gold getting them in and out of the door to the toilet and in and out of the car for check ups.
My girl is 5 and had hers done in June, she is now getting back to a fairly normal life again, I also take her to hydrotherapy every week to help build the muscle again.
I hope Zandi has a straightforward easy recovery.

Thanks I wil look at purchasing a ramp, the final cost was a bit more, I have him crated with profleece on top of memory foam.
Heres a picture of operation site.

worst think was he went over 24hours without urinating I have now section a small area off in the garden as he wont go whilst on lead.

Mine went nearly 3 days without a wee, vet wasn't worried
