Not good Lel. Sorry to hear that, after Chloe's Phoebe's mom now Gus's mom I am very very dubious about getting Sal and or Tess spayed. Any idea on why she died how old was she etc?

Please pass on my sympathies to the family, if you speak to them.

Karen

Havent managed to speak to Debbie yet but after losing Sal to pyometra last year she must be feeling awful (damned if you do and damned if you dont )
Jazz was only about 6
I remember her showering me with kisses when we went to see Gus as a pup x

Yes you are with a bitch, thats the trouble I almost lost me Gyp to closed pyometra. And but for a lot of praying and a good vet I think we would have. So it has always made me "aware" of the pro's and con's of spaying.
And something I am considering with Sal as unlikely to have a litter. I am not a breeder - although I adore Staffs others do it better than me.
So am always concerned to hear how spaying's went. And yes she was very friendly saw her at a show June last year and she was so "kissey" trying to climb on my lap. Sad so sad.

So sorry to hear that.. did she have a problem with the anesthetic?
Sadly it occasionaly happens. A few years ago My 14yo niece went to have a tooth removed.... had a severe allergic reaction to the anesthetic and died in minutes. I have lost 2 bitches on the opperating table with closed Pyo and almost a third...you just can't win

Oh no, that is sooo sad

Tam's comming up 6 and I was going to have her spayed, gonna have to have a serious think about it now and really work on the pros and cons.

Debbie must be feeling really bad, I would be and altho I don't know personally please pass on my condolences, as if Gus is anything to go by she must have been one gorgeous dog.
