definately id take the dog to the vets asap ... im one of those kind that my dog burps funny and im on the phone about what it could be

As for me , I cant be bothered with doctors unless theres absolutely no other choice , so if it was just one small wound id take care of it myself

Loved the answers. Sorry not been on much but yes dog 1st here too.
All I can say is what some of you already have said, if it was that bad, a hole in my finger would just have to wait......simple as that

Dogs first of course. We aren't the only ones. I see lots of dog fight victims where the owners bring the dog in, owner covered in blood, dog barely bleeding and it turns out the blood was coming from the owner! But owners only concern is for their pet. We're happy to keep them overnight while the owner tends to their injuries.

Definitely dogs first. Since I was a HCA for a while I'd just wash and steristrip the bite myself then wrap it and forget about it. But the dog would have been straight down the vets after I'd cleaned up the wound as best I could myself I always have hibiscrub, cotton balls, bandages and dressings in the house.

1)Go to vet
2)Ask vet where their human first aid kit is!
