This will be one of the shortest good morning posts so far.

I’m off to walk the dogs shortly, then give them their brekkie, then it’s off to the office for me for what will probably be a very long day.

Normal service “should” resume tomorrow

stressed by today as well. eldest son off to met his dad for the first time in 12+ years. just have to sit and wait till he contacts me i guess to tell me how things went.

I have had a terrible weekend and haven't seen the dogs since yesterday lunchtime, it was very hard last night and this morning being in a house with no dogs
Still, I pick them up this evening and that should get me through a difficult day at work.
The promised frost hasn't arrived, usual Irish drizzle and cloud but not too cold. I'm off to work to try and get a few things done before all hell breaks loose - boss on holiday, HR Manager away until tomorrow, a staff problem, still covering 2 people's jobs with work piling up, disgruntled customers, a dodgy fax machine and the house situation hanging over everything.
Sometimes I think it would be good to have someone to share thoughts who was on my side but there isn't anyone.
How about a 50 hour day???????

Morning V, morning all!

I should've gone for the train already, but can't quite bring myself to move It's "audit week" in work, which means everybody's taken off their normal projects to deal with a backlog of current meter screening. Am expecting to have rather goggly eyes after a week of staring at wiggly lines on computer screens Sometimes I think I'd rather be doing programming!!!

BM - it must be really hard, but waiting for your son to contact you is really the best you can do for him right now. If it goes well - great, if not then in time he'll see that actually one good parent is all we need (and better than some people get!)

morning all. Eldest still off ill...day 6! Son home last night from London had a whale of a time. Just me pooch and eldest at home today. Catch up on some chores after being ill all weekend. Youngest has first riding lesson after school tonight.
