Greyhounds and ? Cramp

My 3 yr old grey on 2 occasions now has appeared to suffer from cramp.

She has been curled up on the sofa happily and then suddenly had got distressed and screaming in pain , it soon passes and if you touch her hind muscles during this time she does not like it , does anyone else know if this is something greys suffer from or I am way off the mark

I remember an experienced greyhound trainer telling me that if they are sore in the hind legs to massage with knuckles in up upward motion. He certainly knows his Grey's too.

You may want to check with a vet to make sure its not a pulled muscle.
