Interestingly the top Agility dog when the sport first started in the USA was an Elkhound bitch that only died a year or do ago.

A lot of people over there compete with their Elkhounds.

Only a few do here.

I have just had an interesting Christmas day with a litter of 5 dogs and 1 bitch puppy born this evening in the space of an hour and a half.

Of course more bitches were wanted, two for show

All the dog bookings are for companions only.

Now have to let those wanting to show know there is only one to choose from.

Congratulations on the whelping Brainless, don't you dare wave baby man dogs under my nose, I'm too old for another although I would dearly love to. Hope all went well, one thing, their owners will never forget their birth date.

3 hours after the others she suddently popped out another bitch pup.

Funnily enough the litter she came from was two bitches and five dogs.

Lots of wee man dogs, with funny bobbly bits

Congratulations lovely pups.

4 years ago when we had our first litter our bitch Tegan had 6 pups. Then 8 hours after the last one was born she had another 2. Both perfectly ok. The vet said because of the shape of whippets she must have been carrying the last 2 under her ribs and it just took a while for them to move down. We've had 3 litters since then 2 of them Tegan's but never had anything like this since then.

I have had a live pup after 6 hours, and friend had one a full 24 hours later, and the Vet said she was empty.
