Harness for safety not pulling, any suggestions?

We're off to gorgeous Cornwall in a few weeks and though I'm really looking forward to the break and all the lovely walking we're planning I'm having nightmares about cliff tops and silly puppies who leap before they look!! I don't normally walk Griffin on a harness and he hates the kumfi anti pull one I bought for him but if it keep him safe I don't care if I get sad eyes constantly! I'm happy to e-bay it and just get a second hand one as it won't be being used often so any suggestions on particularly good brands or designs people like or hate?!

Isn't the Halti one supposed to aid pulling?

Prevent it...

I used it before and wasn't too impressed with it.

For your purposes the mekuti or halti. The halti isnprobably cheaper and therefore a better option for this. It connects to their collar and you can connect the lead on their back, or at the front or both ( or back and collar). Yes, it is anti pull but I like the fact it attaches to the collar too. With umm.. enthusiastic (!) , strong, wriggly dogs like ours it's good to know that should they slip the harness they collar is still on. Cosmo has one and we use it at similar times, or when we need to temper his enthysiasm a little. He hates it because he knows that's why we use it.

Don't let them swim in them

If you have a look at the photos on my thread http://www.dogsey.com/showthread.php?t=152105

you will see the harness Pereg wears. It is a Hunter - lightweight, comfortable [Pereg wears it all the time] but strong. She managed to break countless harnesses before I got this one for her, and even loose fitting as it deliberately is, it keeps her safe.
