I use Bio-groom Natural Oatmeal Anti-itch Shampoo For Dogs for Poppy if her skin is very dry.

Having just been upstairs to check.... mine is the one with 3% cold pressed epo - the vet one - the other one has 1% in - i think if your combatting the itches then i'd go for the higher level of epo.

there is a conditioner as well but I don't use conditioner on mine.

hope this helps
K

I use Exmarid shampoo. Smells like coal tar but it's very very good.

I think that a lot of the reason for dry skin comes from inside, when my Borzoi are in a full moult rtheir skin does tend to become dry,so I give them Lintbells "Yumega" oil which does help the hair to grow back quicker and helps with the dry skin. When I have a dog to groom which has very dry skin I use either Malaseb or Epi-soothe both work very well, a general shampoo for not too dry skin which is good is Simpsons Mink Oil.

Cherry has dry sensitive skin and we use Evening Primrose shampoo-this is what was reccomended in one of the doggy magazines for sensitive dogs and it doesn't irritate her like other shampoos have.

Have you tried a hypo-allergenic shampoo?? It wont irrate the skin and is fragrance free usually.
