Anal bleeding

mishka had blood around her bottom this morning , she keeps licking at it , on reluctant closer inspection i noticed she has 2 small cuts on her bottom, more like small tear's, bleeding , looks very painful for her too. callad vet as b4 seeing this today she has been licking at her bottom quite a bit too for a few weeks, had a fishy smell too at one point a few weeks ago, vet says its possibly a anal fissure thats common in german shepherds , shes going to see the vet tomorrow about this , poor girl, anyone else know much about this condition at all??

just found this on Ask.com

fissure is a tear or ulcer in the lining of the anal canal. The anal canal is the last part of the rectum before the anus. Fissures can occur in anyone, but are more common in middle age or young adults. A fissure can be difficult to heal as it causes a spasm in the anal sphincter and aggravates itself.

Doesn't mention dogs but hope it help as too the condition

I have had 1 dog with this he was treated with strong anti-biotics and twice the recommended dose of steriods, that was 14mth ago and its not come back yet, although I caught it in the early stages before there where any fistulas.
I have used cyclosporine brand name Atopica with a dog with dermatitis it is an extremely exspensive drug and cost me about £3,000 to treat him so far although now being weaned off it. Speak to your vet and discuss the options.

What are you feeding her on Rose, if it's raw chichen with bones the fissures could have been caused by bone splinters.
