Had a real fright

I had the fright of my life on Monday just gone, I thought i was having a heart attack which made me ten time worse.

I decided it was too nice to sit indoors, so i rounded up the kids a took them fishing at Bulmahon (a really nice beach) and we stopped on the way for something to eat, as i was eating i started to get a severe pain in my chest, I told myself that it was indigestion and just carried on as normal, when we did finally arrive at the beach the pain was unbearable and my left arm had gone numb. I didnt want to let the kids down so I sat and watched them and tried to act normal, but my eldest figured that something was wrong and asked me if i was ok, I didnt want to scare him but he knew i wasnt right so i said to him that i felt unwell and i needed to go to the Dr's.

Bless him he grabbed the other two and shoved them into the car and we went off to the hosp. with a few stops on the way. The Hosp. was great the rush me through and did loads of tests and an ecg scan asked me loads of Q's. Anyway to cut a long story short it turned out that i had an infection in the wall of my chest and they gave me a heap of pills to take. Definately giving up the fags after that, got the patches from the Dr's today and I'm vowing never to smoke again, cause my babies need me and I'm all they've got.

I bet it was scary, and like you said even scarier when you think about all those that rely on you.

Good on you for deciding to give up the fags!! And I hope you get on a super fit regime... keep thinking about your kids and that you got be in tip top condition to look after them *hug*
