Aww Ian I'll be thinking of you.

Don't worry about not walking again Ian, my nan had both her legs amputated above the knee (3 years apart) and she was wonderful, you could hardly tell that she had to learn to walk again twice over
Best wishes to you {{{hugs}}}

Thank you to you all, It is a awful thing to come to rerms with but I am better off by far than those injured in the London bomb blasts. At least I know it is going to happen and know what to expect afterwards.

I know that for the first three days it is complete bed rest, not even to go to the loo! Then after that they walk you about 2 yards then back to bed rest and gradually build it up until you can walk reasonably well with a stick. ( they start you off with a zimmer frame first)

The man that takes Blackie for his walk says he might even take him home through the day, just depends if it like it or not (must have plenty of fussing).

Oh! my head is just going round and around thinking of things I need to do.

One thing about have an op, I usually come around with no problem and having a drink a couple hours afterward. And I hope they have got some blue warming blankets this time, because last time I came out of theatre covered in PINK!!!

See you all soon

Ian
