Trust and luv

I ave adopted a 20 month old male rottie x staffie. Iv had him for 5 days now and was wondering how long do you guys think it takes for a dog to trust and luv u??

Samson is a very luvin boy and he follows me around the house and sits at my feet where Eva I sit. He listens and follows my commands very well.

during the day when my kids are up my time is spilt between them and Samson. But once they ave gone 2 bed Samson gets my full attention. Its as if he knows this is our time.

I sit on the floor and he comes and lay's on his back wiv his head on my lap and we will cuddle like this for hours. When I decide its time to move I tell him 'up' and he moves for me.

I luv this special time wiv him as he makes me feel so secure when he's cuddling me.

Do u think he trusts and luvs me as much as I do him?

sorry if that sounds soppy lol

It does not sound soppy at all - it sounds lovely - and it sounds like Samson is as happy with you as you are with him!

All dogs, especially newly adopted ones, need one on one time with their owners.

My newest, Mandy, seems to get most of the attention sine she is the "New Kid". My other three dogs get their time with Mommy and Daddy to.

My puppy loves special time when the children have gone to bed. At about 6ish she goes to bed bed while I bath children and sort them out at 7.30 she come inthe living room for cuddles while we watch tv.

Hi Missy I would say that varies from dog to dog and in the case of rescue dogs can be influenced by the treatment they have previously received from humans.

It sounds as though you are well on the way
