I`ve been on one of the Dogs for Life holidays. They do courses as well, but mostly gundog I think. Try googling Sheila Harper.

I have just recently signed up for one of the dogs for life essential training weekends. They do a variety of training holidays. I am really looking forward to it.

I have been on various "residential" courses most of them conducted by guest trainers from abroad. Also at Learning About Dogs.

There are a couple of issues to consider a) why you are going there and what do you hope to achieve b) the competence of the trainer c) is the level of the other attendees similar (so that you are not over or under stretched) d) is the course structured.

Most courses will say something like "this is for dog and human friendly courses only" to avoid issues.

If you have a dog aggressive dog then why not go on a specialised course for this purpose?

Steve Mann is having Geert de Bolster over from Belgium this year for one of his specialised aggression courses.
