***UPDATE***

Just got back form the vets, She has had a number of x-rays of her leg, hips, hock(?) her legs fine with no sign of a break, here hips are fine, the vet said they are very good, Im not an expert but could see a big difference between hers and Storms.

There was a couple of things on her hock that the vet couldnt be sure of but if she doesnt improve it will be for a specialist to look at. She also had some fluid near her knee that he tried to get a sample of but all what was there was blood, he said if she had been bleeding into the joint she would have been in alot of pain.

She is on painkillers for a couple of weeks and short lead walks and we are to closely monitor it.

She seems a little better, she has put some weight on in. She is also in trouble as despite having one good back leg she still jumped up at the kitchen worktop balanced on one leg We will be keeping a very close eye on her.

Hopefully some rest (if that's possible with a lab) and painkillers will put it right, Phill. Give the beautiful girl a gentle hug from me please

At least the examination has eliminate some of the worst options Stormy so it is not all bad news

The pain killers should help , the only trouble is they are usually quite efficient and it is difficult to get the dog to rest when the pain goes.

Not bad news then Stormey, thats really good!! I wonder if the "things" on the hock could be "joint mice" as in OCD, my friends Lab had this in her stifle and her hock, the "mice" were flushed out and removed from both.

Cheers, all she is resting and moaning at the minute. Regarding the hock the vet said he feels its unlikely to be anything as it was so minor he only noticed on an enhaced x-ray but it could be(if that makes sense). He did mentioned something about OCD but I can remember what it was(my mind always goes blank), I will ask when we drop the insurance forms off.
