My neighbours dog pinched all the chocs off the tree including wrappers - he was as sick as a "dog" (scuse pun) fortunately he is ok!

I think we need to get chocolate into perspective - mine have all hated dog chocs (have you tasted them ) so we have always fed a little and I must repeat a little normal chocolate. Half a square of cadburys for a lab sized dog and never have in 20 odd years had a problem. It is the quantity of chocolate fed to dogs that is the problem IMO.

A little bit of what you fancy does you good - and come off it all the yummy things we like are all meant to be bad for us - its keeping things in perspective - and dogs away from the xmas tree chocs!!!!

when my oldest was only 4 her and Tess shared a very large diary milk. the dog had well over half the bar and she was fine, not even sick.

i don't give mine choc treats and im glad if they come health warnings on them
