What's the opposite of Separation anxiety?

Recently our routine has changed, normally I go out to work at 8am and someone comes in to look after the dogs at about 1pm. But my hours changed at work this year and I only work 2 full days and even then these days sometimes change. I have have a few days off in the week, and have started to go to the gym or to town on those days, so am out at odd times...

Kismet is most put out.

She whines and pokes me in the mornings to go out already and give her her kong.. She will run and sit on her bed like a good girl every time I go to the kitchen or head to the front door... and from the moment I get my bag or coat, she starts trying to hurry me up and shove me out the door...

Its like separation anxiety in reverse!

I know from my neighbours that the second she hears my car pull away she takes her kong into the garden and begins to throw it about to get the treats out (she has thrown it over the fence before) and then she jumps on to the table by the fence and calls for the neighbours to come and fuss her, then she spends the rest of the time I'm out sleeping on her bed in the conservatory...

Anyone else have a dog that cant wait to throw them out of the house?!

Kismet sounds lovely - everybody's ideal dog by the sound of it.

I had never thought of that

I could come home to find she'd been trolling all the husky sites, or downloading fit northern stud dog pictures... It's just the sort of thing she'd do!

Right dog locks are going back on all the tech...

She clearly loves her routine, and wants to stick with it thank you very much.

Then of course, aside from downloading stuff from the computer she probably has a boyfriend of which you would most definitely not approve - you know, the rough foul mouthed mongrel from the wrong side of the river?! Watch for him slinking away when you return

Now this is getting a bit silly. We know dogs can't use computers but Kismet is probably on the phone all the time on a dog chat line. Have you noticed your bill is a bit high when she is left on her own?

Can't let Jacub read this bit. Boy would be devestated. Little minx Kismet!

Sounds like Kismet is a happy content girl when you are out. I laughed at the thought of her ushering you out the door. Can just imagine her wishing you would hurry up so she could do her thang

Take care.

Seoniad.
