We did the Eden project the same weekend Gorden won a weekend away on Ebay I think I didn't know he was bidding on it and was outside chatting to my neighbour and out he came and said want to go to Cornwall and do Heligan and Eden at the weekend. How can a girl refuse.
We were between dogs then boys grown up so could just go away when we wanted.

I wondered what I wasn't getting.

Last time I visited Eden I'd moved from Cornwall to Devon and I took my old Cavvy with me. We rented a little cottage on Pentewan old harbour. Wonderful.

Eden all day and roaring log fire all night. Best time to visit it is 'out of season'.

Earlier that year Martin wanted to take me but the traffic on the approach to St Austell was SO BAD we decided against it and diverted and spent the day in Newquay instead! That was after I found out dogs were not allowed in and I was not prepared to leave her in the car.

They come in all different sizes. Some of our neighbours have one (not as big as this one) and they use it virtually all year.I'd love one but we aren't allowed to put any structures up down by the river.
