Adopting a 'troubled' dog?

Need Advice

I recently went to the doggy pound to adopt a dog and I found one that I absolutely adore! The only problem is as I was talking to the woman who works there she called the doggy "troubled" but said that she's sure the he'll be great with the right owner. I want to take him home for a weekend but I'm worried about the safety aspect... any advice will be greatly appreciated.

first thing you need to know is in what way is he 'troubled'.

Taking on a dog with issues is often a big commitment so you need to know as many details as possible before deciding

I agree. Taking on any dog is a big commitment.
Special needs compounds that.
Maybe the OP could expand on the "special" needs?
