Meanwhile.....the flooring I bought BEFORE Christmas 2015 is still lying diagnolly across the living room floor, awaiting the painting of the kitchen, which was waiting for the pointing on the back wall. Now the pointing is done, Zen has destroyed the little kennel, so guess what gets done first

Evening All.
Glad to hear that you've got your pointing and building work underway June, perhaps you could call the new block "Demolition Den" or "Dun Nibblin' ". Whatever it's name I do hope it doesn't get eaten as quickly as it's predecessor, there has got to be a limit to even your forebearance! lol !
Bit of luck you'll end up with a decent motor Lynn, there has got to be a good 'un somewhere in the east of england. Sounds like your lads are having a good time with the fishing etc, when I was their age (a million years ago) I was seldom seen without a fishing rod or ferret for company.
Griff - so you are booked in for 19th Aug - to be written on! I'd love to have a go at tattooing somebody, I'm not a bad hand with pencil and ink and feel sure I could come up with a good design or two.
Have done the rounds of just about every medical department available to me, today. They are not quite sure about the dialysis at the moment - wishing to see where my kidney function levels end up, but may operate on my left arm in preparation for it will certainly end up as being the only option. They are just not certain when, prefering to wait to see how much recovery I can make and what percentage of kidney function I can regain.
This is all very well, but at it's best my function was only 21% which is barely adequate! We'l just have to wait and see.
Blood tests tomorrow (again) then diabetic specialist on Thursday and Tameside Nephrology Dept on Friday. Oh what a busy social life I am enjoying currently! lol !
Weather here has been lousy today - more or less endless drizzle! Can only hope for an improvement, although my pumpkins will be enjoying it as they have a lot of growing to do over the next 10 weeks or so.
Harvey - loved the pic of Lara trying to jam herself into that chair, she looks a lovely sweet creature, so glad you came to her rescue. Bye fer now.

Evening,
Hi Griff- Lauryn and her friend made up- not quite best friends anymore ( I don't think) but she's doing great thank you for asking, ooh new tattoo, I want another one on my shoulder, just trying to decide what.
TW that's about right, it's always us that's last when it comes to needing stuff. If it's not kids it's the furry ones
Lynn sorry the trip wasn't successful, hope you find something soon
LG hope you get sorted soon, don't like to think of you being not well.
I just realised when I posted earlier, about that walk round the Reservoir I forgot to say I meant tomorrow morning. I'm hoping the weather is like it's been today. We had a little shower tonight before I finished work. Not much though.

Dun Nibblin' is just great LG. I did broach the subject of the fact that the doors would have (out of necessity) to be made of wood, and therein lay a quandry, we did (briefly) discuss using safe doors, but dismissed the idea due to the expense.
She doesn't seem to want to eat the Big House though, just the little kennel that is tasty He is laying a concrete floor so at least that can't be eaten, then I'll get rubber matting, which he'll lay on top of it, THEN the internal structure on top of that.
Whats the op they are going to do on your left arm, never mind Griff's Inks, you'll look like the AA Road Atlas of Spaghetti Junction by the time they've finished with you

June - In readiness for dialysis they will link an artery with a vein in my left forearm, causing the vein to swell and become a suitable entry point for the dialysis needle, when the time comes. If done over the next couple of months the site will then be fully healed and ready for use when/if I end up going for dialysis.
Ref concrete flooring in kennels, sties etc. If when it is laid the concrete is put down in two layers with a layer of empty glass bottles in between the two it is an excellent insulating medium. All you need is a pile of old beer bottles (of the budweiser type or similar)and press them into the bottom of the two layers of concrete. Once the bottom layer has started to go off you can then finish off by putting a screed of two inches or so of concrete over the top and floating it over for a smooth finish. Then once you add your rubber matting all should be wonderfully insulated.
Mandy - hope you have a lovely walk in the morning and that the weather stays OK for you (I remember how Rosie hates the rain!).

Late for me but we didn't start eating till gone 8 and outside again lovely to eat tea round the table in the garden. With old albums playing some 40 years old and much laughter at my expense.
Joel finished his last ab tonight.
LG sounds like your life as a young lad was much like my dad's. A gun a bike and a terrier around the country side in Suffolk. I expect yours was oop North though.
Boys have caught eels tonight back in the river now and thankfully Mark was around to deal with them. The place is gong to be very quiet when everything returns back to normal here.
LG do hope thing can be sorted positively for you.

Could you have some metal plating put on the bottom of the new kennel doors June? I don't know if that's expensive or not
I'm glad they made up too,
Right I'm off to bed
Night folks
