Does Alizin have any side effects

Hi,this is my first post, and I wish the cercumstances were different but I need some urgent advice.
I have two cockerspannials cloe a 51/2 year old girl and Benson a boy.
Cloe is 14 days into her season and we have kept her apart from Benson, but yesterday Benson managed to get through the baby gate and before We could stop him he had tied with her.
Idealy we dont want Cloe to have pups because she is not KC reg and it might be hard to find good homes for them, she is 5 and this would be her first litter.
The vet said she can have two Alizin injections and the risks and side effects are neglegable.
Has anyone had to use Alizen and were there dogs ok

Is there any better alternatives

Would it be better to let Cloe have the pups

Other than ultrasound is there a test to see if she is pregnant

Your helpwould be appreciated thanks.

Most, if not every, medication has potential side effects but I would have thought the side effects would be far less severe than the risks of pregnancy and birth.
There is a pregnancy test for dogs but this cannot be done immediately - dogs do not produce the same hormones as humans and the ones they do produce are not until later on in the pregnancy.
