Thanks everyone for all the photos - they are brilliant. It is really interesting hearing what constitutes a good dog walk to others

Some stunning pictures!

A good walk for me is no other people/dogs and visibility! I love walking in forests but they need to be well off the beaten track for me to enjoy it because I just spend the whole time putting the dogs on and off lead as I can't see what's coming.

Have moved around a bit too much to have a favourite...in Italy it was the mountain plataeau (only in winter though because there were Maremmas there in the summer )

In Scotland it was Glencoe

Here in Sussex, I have lots of nice walks, but nowhere really special or stunning.

Some lovely pics in the this thread!

These are not pictures I've taken but they are all of local walks:

I also walk in a lot of bog standard fields, woods, etc., but they are not as pretty!

I live inbetween the first pic and the last pic.

These are my favourite local walks - if I put my holiday ones on too, I could be here for some time So I will spare you those

And not ones I took unfortunately, but nice ones of the area

Wow - more stunning photos

I think these photos all go to show that no matter where in the UK you live, you can always find some beautiful places to walk

I think my favourite walk around here is Calke Park, see Leanne_W's photos.
My favourite walk over all is in Norfolk, walking through th pine trees and along the beach.

I don't like going new places on my own (I get lost very easily, NO sense of direction) so tend to do the same walks. Would love to have to confidence to explore new places as I often walk on my own.

Same! I remember wondering around a wood I went to for hours once, completely lost. It wasn't even a big woods!
