I know several cameras have a built in pano mode which is fine. But there is a lot more that don't which is why I posted what i did. Cameras are improving every day and it is virtually impossible to keep up with new equipment coming onto the market.

What your camera for example can't do is this

Moon shot




so it depend on usage as to camera choice

Well, sure. But do I want my camera to do that? Not really. That's just not what I enjoy taking photos of.
