Birmingham small dog meetups

Hi there
Im looking for birmingham people to meet up with for small walks .Im looking to meet initially small dog owners as my dog has a fear of larger breeds after getting jumped upon by an over enthusiastic staffie
in my area i meet other people who tell me they have a small dog..but never meet any actual dogs
I want her to recognise other dogs are ok but having no dog owning friends..its hard to get her to socilise on a regular basis, my vet told me to ask other people with dogs if they can let my dog play with theirs but invariably they see her hiding behind my feet and walk off disgusted .
she loves people (and cats ) but any dog thats normal sized reduces her to either hiding or barking in terror
I did pay for a puppy pack but classes were full up so I havent been able to find a class local either and its just not fair to her i think as Id love her to have doggy friends.
