Well how do you dispose of energy saving light bulbs then? Never occurred to me before it was mentioned. Been on the phone and you lot can't half talk

Hi June, what I do is first unscrew it from the light fitting, next I carry said light bulb to the kitchen and drop it in the bin, finally I take the black bin liner to the outside wheelie bin and drop it in..............job done

I had better add that may not be the approved method, but it works for me

Whilst thats very praiseworthy of you to take your light bulbs for a nice drive in the car before disposing of them, I would tend to follow Harvey's example

No,energy savers in recycling...older bulbs in bin..them's the rules Not that you'll have to take the energy savers too often

Yeah well,energy bulbs are left out in the cold,wind and rain Old bulbs are warm and toasty in the bin Without rules where would we be???( answer is worth a tenner )
