Just kidding, I think I know what you mean!

Our foster staff is a menace with the face licking. We're getting her to stop it, but she sometimes manages to pin your arms down so she gets a good lick in before you can get her off. And she's slipped her tongue in my mouth a few times too Come to think of it, that's about the most action I get some days
sarah i'd expect that sort of banter from mistyblue - shes an essex bird after all and has probably done worse, but a i just looked and your a belly dancer - a belly dancer who ant get action? surely not?

Isn't a dog's saliva highly antiseptic? If so then isn't his mouth self-cleaning and therefore always safe? I know many people don't like the idea of a dog licking their mouth, but I was under the impression that it is safe - am I wrong?

Dog saliva is antiseptic. Dog saliva was once believed to be antiseptic, and some people still believe it has healing properties. Though it can kill some bacteria, dog saliva contains its own exotic bacteria that can cause serious infections, especially in people whose immune systems are weak.

You can't really say no to Ava - she jumps all over you and her tongue is so long it gets everywhere.
Infact she licks EVERYTHING, the cats, the floor, chairs and even the pavement!

Eww. No. I love my dog, but she is not allowed to kiss me or my children on the lips. I should say, we don't offer our lips for kissing. My explanation to my kids: "Think about how she cleans herself. You want to kiss her after that?" The answer is always a giggle filled "ewwww noooooooo!"

Thats Sheena's and Samson's trick to waking me up in the morning! They jump onto my bed (especially Samson)
and lick my face especially my lips as they know it wakes me up!
Sure I let my dogs give me a kiss as long as I know that they are both wormed and that they dont keep aiming for my lips I dont mind a kiss on the cheek
