Actually that's one beautiful bird. Not at all like the vulture we saw locally. You take excellent pictures!

Lovely Tumbleweed, do you know what it is? I caught a buzzard once, that was a lovely experience...to be able to help something i had never seen before

thank you all for your comments

One trick I do and let you all into a little secret

I use Adobe elements 11 but 10 upwards will do

1= go into edit
2= use the guided link
3 = lens effect - depth of field
4 = Chose a method
5= simple- add depth in a single step
6= add blur
7= gradient tool click on it
8= put pointer over picture part you want to restore to sharp, and drag across picture part

In the photo above I went all over the raptor to bring it back to sharpness and the background stays blurred. This makes the raptor stand out away from the background.

you can adjust the amount of blur (see 6) but I find it is not necessary.

Now you know don't tell everyone

GM

if you don't have Adobe Elements from 10 onwards you can't do it, but they may well be a free trial download from adobe, I don't know there used to be. That step by step anyone should be able to follow easily

I've got Photoshop elements but only a very early version, it may be easy for you but even having done a course I'm still struggling with it
