A ton to do Thursday.

Morning everyone on a damp and chilly day.
As per title for me today and some of tomorrow a ton to get done.
Bed sorting, Michael arrives home tomorrow in the evening.
Washing to sort and get dry the tumble dryer will have to be used today for some of it.
Also prepping veg today doing my roast potatoes early and freezing and also my veg. If they come out as well as the Yorkshire puddings I will be very pleased.
I have to ring my brother later had a message from my niece he is very under the weather with a nasty bug.
We are hoping he will be well enough to visit her over Christmas.
He did a covid test and it was negative worrying though as he is 81.
Kazz wanted to say thank you for the lovely compliment. Not sure what we did right with the boys but whatever we did it worked.

brenda glad you got to go out for your meal.
Sue glad you will be safe on new chairs.
Barry congratulations on the driving licence.
griff I wouldn't worry too much Mark and Lauren didn't get their boosters and although felt unwell are fine now. So fingers crossed Steve doesn't get worse than a nasty bout of flu.
Chris it really doesn't stop for you does it. Fingers crossed a New Year brings you a calmer year.
Also hope you are beginning to feel better and Dave too.
Kazz are you working today or socialising ? Have a nice day whatever you do.

Morning Lynn and everyone else. You sound busy. Just been to the charity shop for books. They have a great selection and only 50p The gent who served me called me a young lady bg!! The lady I usually see said let's have a guess at my age, and she made my day. it was also made by the lovely choccy lab that the gent owns. Always leans on me, the dog not the gent. lol!! Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning Lynn. It never ends getting everything ready for Christmas. Try and get a bit of rest later.

Hope the people you have contacted can sort the problem Chris and then you can tell the shop you got them from what to do after having tried to get the most refunded. Hopefully you will have a better year next year.

A friend's sister has covid and so has her husband and they have both had all the boosters they are entitled to so hopefully they will recover soon.

Last minute shopping done and what a load of idiots in the shop. I know we will just stand in the middle of the entrance to the isle and think or leave no room at the shelves for other people to get there. Thank goodness it is only once a year that I meet these people!

Ben's throat was no better yesterday so having told him on Monday to ring the doctor, as throat bad from Friday, he did and has been given antibiotics so hopefully they will have started to kick in.

Take care everyone.

Also good morning Brenda and enjoy your books.

Lynn, Steve was quite poorly in the night.... struggling to breathe. He will be getting a COVID booster and I am worried about him as he had Hodgkin's.
Have sent him some shopping as he can't go out and capitalised the message to driver stating COVID positive....asked him if he can manage to pop a note on the door too. He hasn't eaten so sent him some ready meals that he can just pop in the microwave. I had to tell him last night to contact his sister and tell her he was ill because she will be down as next of kin and not me.

Sounds like a lovely morning brenda. Books, compliments and a lovely lean from a dog.
Sue I hope the antibiotics work quickly for Ben. Sore throats are awful and back ache they are the two things that really get me down. Wishing him well soon, oh dear we had that Monday. Let's leave our trolley across the middle of the aisle.
I lost count of the amount of trolleys I had to move aside.
griff didn't realise Steve had Hodgkin's. That will make him more at risk if as you say he hasn't had his booster.
He is lucky to have you about to sort things for him, don't forget to take care of yourself too.

Our bed is ready for Michael. We move into the spare room when we have guests.
Some washing in the tumble dryer and some on the airer and I must say the dry mode on the air conditioner works a treat.

He never said a word to me Lynn, I discovered it when I got a print out of his Medical history for work. He is really dreadful at looking after himself, I am slowly getting him organised and trying to take care of himself. He was adamant he didn't have COVID yesterday and I said sorry but I think you do, I think you need to test and he said he would but when I called he hadn't and I said that he had to do a test.....got a message a few minutes later with a photo and him saying it had only been 2 minutes with a very very dark line.
Pleased you got the bed sorted, we are about to sort my brother's room.....we may be some time!!!

Good luck with bedroom sorting griff.
I have just spoken to my brother he did buy extra tests but doubt he will test again, even though I said my first two were negative and around day 3 there was the line albeit very faint.
He sounds dreadful, doesn't look like he will be spending Christmas away. I will keep in touch with him and so is my niece and he knows to ring if he needs anything.
He is so stubborn though. To be honest after losing Margaret I don't think he cares if he becomes so ill it finishes him. After she died and we would meet for coffee we were still masked. He stopped and said he didn't care if he got it and it finished him off.

We will see if his anything like mum he will recover and be as strong as he was before. All we can do is check in and pop over if he needs anything I won't be going in though.

Apparently Lynn, there's a bug that's like COVID but not COVID infact, people are feeling worse with it. I have just done another test as my cough is getting worse, it's negative so far.... hope it stays that way or my brother won't be happy

He said yes, I said no..... wouldn't want that on my conscience, I have made sure he understands anyone with a cough, cold, sore throat, flu etc doesn't come near me....he still will though...have reiterated I have no immune system and my bone marrow is really low
