Showing a non kc reg dog...

Hi everyone, i know your dog must be kc registered to enter most shows, and crufts ect, i was wondering if their are any well known or good shows/contests ect that a non kc reg dog can enter?
im in the lanacshire area, my dogs are pedigree but she has no papers, in other words she is not a cross breed if that makes any difference.
Thanks xxx

You are limited to Companion dog shows if the dog isn't registered with the KC, whether "apparently pedigree" or not. These are advertised locally, for example in the local papers, vet's premises, etc and are most often held in the summer. Pet stores may also carry adverts. Such shows are for pedigree or non-pedigree alike and after the "breed" classes, there are "fun" classes so there is plenty you can go in for.
(You need a lot more than registration to go to Crufts - you need to achieve a certain minimum placing at a Championship or certain Open shows if you are UK resident, or the dog must win the ticket or junior class at a designated show or be a Champion from most European Countries.)

No offence taken at all, don't worry, but I felt the need to provide some information which I hope was useful.
Yes I show, not in the UK any more and in Ireland we are under different rules as we are part of the FCI (most of Europe is) as well as the Irish Kennel Club, so now I have some knowledge on three systems....... one day the UK system will change and I'll be wrong!

My two wouldn't even be allowed to sweep the floors at Crufts, as they have less in the way of pedigree than a tin of baked beans, but they have had their moments at local agricultural shows. In fact, Kali did so well and trashed the previous champion (a working farm dog) so thoroughly that the farmer had the rules changed so that non-working collies could only go in as "Any Other Breed". Nevertheless, he has a small collection of coloured rosettes and, perhaps, good memories of his youth (I retired him at 10).

In his heyday, aged 2
