Portable dog water drinker?

Possibly not the best title

I've seen this type
http://www.petcrew.net/

But, I'm not sure it carries enough water for a large dog for the whole day?

Anyone have any other recommendations?

We have one of those for Fudge and it is certainly not enough for a large dog for a whole day......but then carrying that amount would be heavy and you could always refill ? The other option is to carry a bigger bottle and use one of the collapsible drinking bowls. I will see if I can find a link to the ones I mean.

This is the sort of thing I have seen but there are lots of variations...google portable dog drinking bowl.

I've had one of them before and larger dogs just don't seem to be able to drink out of it that comfortably.
I recently bought this and it works well, I take put a bottle of water (2 litre or whatever empty bottle(s) I have to hand) and then you can fill the bowl up as many times as needed. If you're straying away from your car then you can take as many water bottles as you can carry.

If you look on that website they also do an "Aquabowl" which comes in a 2 or 4 litre version which would be plenty, but seems more of a thing to have in the car rather than carrying around with you.

I bought a fabric collapsable water bowl from Wilko for 99p, its not huge, but my Saint can get her nose in. Then I carry smaller water bottles. Makes life easier

I've got one similar (probably the regular size one) from the £1 shop - if I don't think it's enough, I'd take another bottle to top it up.

Where I walk Lana people have their dogs drinking from sports bottles. One uses the portable handi drink from the first link (petcrew) but has taken the bit that flips down off it as the dog couldn't drink from it. They all tend to squirt the water out the bottles and the dogs have no problem drinking from them.

I've got a fabric collapsable one same as BigBearsRule, cost 50p from Asda.

You're right - they are pretty useless really...they don't carry nearly enough water and if you don't have a pointy-face dog, they have trouble getting their heads in to get a proper drink. Plus it means that you have to carry something seperate for you to drink too.

An empty 2 litre coke bottle filled with water and on of those material fold up something like this :http://www.shopwiki.co.uk/redir?page...hPageSingleton

I have two of those.. which is enough for three large dogs for one walk... Kismet will happily drink one of those by herself through a longish or hot walk, Selkie and Pharaoh share the other.. But it would never last a day.. It is bloomin handy though as a trough for them to drink out of.. I would just add more water bottles or some other water carrier and just refill the trough throughout the day if you were hiking for longer...

For camping I use the fabric waterbowls and a wineskin I picked up from a re enactment faire once.. Its comfortable to wear and carries 2 litres of water! :

I usually take two 2 litre bottles and a pot for the 3 of them to drink out of when in the car, but I am going to a game fair and just taking the puppy (Dalmatian) so don't want something really big to carry around, but want a decent amount of water, I'm not sure I will be able to fill up when out, unless buying a possibly very expensive bottle of water whilst there.
I have a couple of sports bottles and holders, that I usually take when walking as my other 2 drink from the sports bottle, Cooper hasn't quite got it yet though.
