Georgia - update

For those of you who were sending wishes to Georgia (who is very ill), I still don't know how she's got on over the weekend. I won't know until Linda is back in her house which hopefully will be later today.
I have opened a new thread for Animal Concern so that it will be easier for newbies to see which dogs are curently seeking new homes, so please if you have any queries about Georgia, ask me through here instead or Pm me. Thanks

I will post news as soon as I have it. Fingers crossed that its good news

Anyone remember Dizzy, the Staffie Cross that was blind and had to have a very expensive operation to remove cateracts from both his eyes? Well he's had his final examination at the vets and it has been confirmed that he has regained his eyesight in one eye. Sadly he is still blind in the other, but he's settled into his new home and is gaining confidence with his new sense daily.
Thanks again to all those who helped support Dizzy, but also contributed towards his operation.

Thats great news about Dizzy Amanda Dogs seem to manage very well with reduced sight so he will no doubt be fine now . I had a cocker called Kelly Dunn (from Whitehaven as it happens) who went blind and managed very well as long as no one moved the furniture

Thomas' school teacher owns a blind dog. She says it's very difficult and you have to be sooo careful not to leave anything out of place.

one of our dogs when i lived at home (Rex) lost an eye when he was about 2 and lived fine. it took him a while to get used to the fact that he had to look around before doing any thing but he lived a happy life with 1 eye for about 10 years
so i hope Dizzy will be the same
