Itchy Skin

The past couple of days Duke has been chewing the base of his tail and he seems to be itchy. We searched for fleas and found nothing and we bathed him to try to sooth his skin but this morning he is still chewing. Any ideas how we can sooth his skin? I think it might be from the weather change? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Yes it could do. I would go and have his anal glands checked.
