Hope Kota is alright Griff, staffies tend to have quite thick skin as you know and they generally heal very well, as you doubtless know. So I wouldn't be too worried about it - feel sure if it was going to turn nasty you'd have noticed by now. Anyhow give her a big cuddle from uncle Gord to cheer her up a bit, and a little one for Deags too (don't want her to feel left out).
Sorry to hear about the shattered bauble Lynn, isn't it funny how we get attached to old things of very little value. We have some old glass ones that in their heyday decorated my grandmother's tree and these are trotted out every year and handled as if they were the crown jewels, whenever one gets bashed there is always much wailing and gnashing of teeth etc, daft really but there you go! lol !
June - words fail me with these dog-haters and associated fools - what a horrid, sterile, self centred little world they must live in. Serve in right if they got their a*** bit - I'd pay to see that.
Corn merchants duly visited and not a morsel of gossip to be had - but did get maximum brownie points as Scout murdered a rat under some pallets in their yard. Didn't get me anything knocked off my bill though - but she was given treats and made much of by owners and staff, was also told if I wanted to part with her she'd have a home there anyday. So now I can threaten little "danger curls" with being sent to live at the corn merchants if she's naughty.
Back later, bye fer now.

Good little Danger Curls, maybe she willl listen to the threats, maybe she will toss her Curls and not give a fig
I was walking Lona, Mabs and Zen today and a dog appeared round the corner before its owner, but it was ME who got the LOOK off the owner, who crossed the road
Lona did bark at it though, so maybe it was OUR fault
Shopping done, and all I have to do is put it away, then will watch The Chase, then it is tea time for girlies, they have Dinosaur Bones, Zen will get some tea and a bone also.
Lynn so sorry to hear that, I echo Gordon, we hang onto things we remember from our childhood and it is like we are destroying our memories when things get broken. Can you stick the legs back on or is it too bad.
Griif, brave Deags, being injured in the pursuit of her duty, wish they would ban those bluddy leads, Brenda. Coming over the bridge into the village I saw a black staffy (but only just saw it) come right across the road in front of me dragging its owner with it, harness and flexi lead of totally no use. I could have quite easily hit that dog. I have seen them a few times now, and keep well away from them if at all possible

Sorry to hear about your encounter brenda.
I am sure the scab will be ok griff just keep an eye which I am sure you will.
Sorry there was no gossip LG. Well done Scout. Always good to have a threat hanging in the balance for when they are naughty.
Not that we would ever act on it.
Bit sad about the bauble but worse things in life and I'm sure there are people out there who would be glad that's all they had wrong in their life.

Fireplace all done too now was going to do it over the weekend but had a nice hot bath and decided to finish the job. Plus no worries about doing tea Gorden is bringing it home tonight.

On the tow path with Lona, Mabs and Zen and there's some walkers with Christmas hats coming up behind us, as soon as I got to where it widens out I pulled to the side to let them pass, 2 went past, then a group stopped and loved the girls, got to give it to Zen, she didn't jump up once, I did warn them she was a baby and unpredictable and they could end up wearing muddy paw marks, they were all in spotless 'walking' clothes. so they carried on walking, called the girls together and there's 3 stragglers coming up so waited, and Oh No, woman clinging to a younger one getting ready to have a tantrum because OMG there are DOGS on the towpath.
I said they won't hurt you, so immediately Lona and Zen started to walk towards them, called them back, but by then she was kicking off into a full scale demo. It infuriates me this, because I am sure it is attention getting, I just said you must expect to find dogs on walks like this, if you don't like it, get the bus. Dark looks from them and they went past me, woman all of a sudden not as 'scared' as she was, judging by the body language anyway.
Gave them 5 minutes and carried on to the tree where they have their leads on and home again along the road.
Zen is getting a bit flightly, so tried her with a gentle leader on, somehow she got it in her mouth and ate it, little so and so Have got another old one for her, I have them in stock for recalcitrant misses like her
Fear is fear TW. Often we cannot understand. Someone I deeply respect is terrified of spiders and I mean TERRIFIED. I thought it was irrational until she finally told me that she has been bitten badly. Even though here they are not toxic, the terror remains. Odd thing was that I was on the phone to her the day a HUGE 4 inch spider full of eggs descended onto my head... Never a word of criticism when my scream nearly tore the phone apart.! So now I tend to accept fear in others remembering spiders... Just my thoughts and I would maybe be wary of your big girls.. ah but no! I know you well enough by now

I am scared of spiders, so I wouldn't go where there was likely to be some, i.e. dogs and tow paths, walks in woods, country parks etc. Postman doesn't have a choice, but I reassured him and he listened and came out of his hiding place. No idea what people would be like if I had barky leapy dogs, but even Zen has got the message that Its NOT Done unless you want to be in Dire Disgrace, so I can be pretty confident that my girls are good doggy ambassadors when the need arises, just as your girls are for staffies.
Oh posted re spiders before i read this" SORRY! Typical tactless me! Grovels!

Luckily i am not scared of anything...well not that i can think of
Well, I am scared of many things, but no one ever knows unless they really catch me on the hop so to speak. Often after the thing has passed I then flop!

OUCH! ((((LYNN))) hugs from here to there...I now use only my hand knitted ornaments for that reason... One of the shepherds in my favourite nativity set is now headless along with a china angel....
