Immunotherapy
I have'nt been on here for some time, so my
apologies, but I just thought I would let people
know that Summer is doing great on these
monthly injections, her allergy has not occurred
and we're well into August, she is going back
to the college in September to get another 10
mths supply, it has to come from Sweden, just a
reminder of her allergies
Dust Mites
Storage Mites
Sheep's Sorrel (grass)
Birch
Hazel
Alder
Beech
I've tried everything, some worked for a while,
but then did'nt, so this treatment was a last
resort, did try Cyclosporin, but that caused
Colitis so that was a no no, these injections
are expensive at £245 a time, the consultation
last year cost £500, the injections last for 10
mths, I am hoping to give them to her at home
save keep going to my vet.
I'm so glad she is insured, but I am so happy that
so far there is no reaction and she is so much
better.
I would say to some people whose dogs have a
similar problem to discuss with your vet about
immunotherapy, I'm hoping that after 2 to 3 yrs
she will come off them as her body will be completely
immune to the allergies.
