The Olympics are almost over.

The games end round lunch time(our time) tomorrow and the closing ceremony will feature the handover of the olympic flag for the 2012 games(can wait).

Has anyone else watched much of them, myself being a huge sports nut has watched 180-200+ hours since the start and all in all they have been great, though some judging has been a bit suspect, including the taekwondo this morning.

Its also been a great haul for the team gb, reaching the target uk sport set four years earlier than planned. Usain bolt also has been out of this world, as was phelps.

So thats it for another four years and I know have to remember how to walk the dogs as I havent since the 8th of August.

How many did we end up with then Stormey? I watched some diving, I love watching that, and some equestrian, but nothing much else I'm afraid. Glad you enjoyed it and you'll be able to get back to normal now won't you, ish!

We ended up
4th with 19 gold, 13 silver and 15 bronze so 47 in total

We should have had at least 3 more gold but just wasnt to be.

Me, normal, never.

Blooming 'eck!!! That's quite incredible for us isn't it!!!! Just goes to show then, that the money our athletes have been getting from the National Lottery has paid off in...., well lots of medals! Long may it continue, about time it went into something more rewarding, plus it makes us look good again in the eyes of the World.

Tina Cook a member of the Equestrian Team lives just up the road from me, I know her very well, so I'll be able to personally give her a well earned pat on the back, or maybe a big hug!

I've watched a few bits and pieces (it's been on continuously here! ), but thankfully I've been at work through most of it!

Same here, but I would have watched loads anyway. Yeah, but we beat the aussies so that made up for it.

I would stick the iPod back on as you will have to put up with weeks of interviews with the medalists.

Am I the only one to think that BMXing is sooo not a sport?! And as for Volleyball, I wonder how many women were on the commitee when that one was agreed!

I watched a lot of the Equestrian stuff, some of the Cycling and a bit of the Swimming. That's about it really, it all gets a bit samey for me after a while!
